Information About Tantra

Tantra (Sanskrit: ; "weave" denoting continuity), (anglicised tantricism or tantrism) or tantram (Sanskrit) is a religious philosophy according to which Shakti is usually the main deity worshipped, and the universe is regarded as the divine play of shakti and shiva. The word Tantra also applies to any of the scriptures commonly identified with the worship of Shakti. Tantra deals primarily with spiritual practices and ritual forms of worship, which aim at liberation from ignorance and rebirth. The tantric movement has influenced the Hindu, Bön, Buddhist, and Jain religious traditions. Tantra in its various forms has existed in India, Nepal, China, Japan, Tibet, Korea, Cambodia, Burma, Indonesia and Mongolia. Although he cautions against attempting a rigorous definition of tantra, David Gordon White offers the following definition:

Tantra is that Asian body of beliefs and practices which, working from the principle that the universe we experience is nothing other than the concrete manifestation of the divine energy of the Godhead that creates and maintains that universe, seeks to ritually appropriate and channel that energy, within the human microcosm, in creative and emancipatory ways.

Part 1: The Basic of Tantrism

Tantra has been one of the most neglected branches of Indian spiritual studies despite the considerable number of texts devoted to this practice, which dates back to the 5th-9th century AD.

Many people still consider tantra to be full of obscenities and unfit for people of good taste. It is also often accused of being a kind of black magic. However, in reality, tantra is one of the most important Indian traditions, representing the practical aspect of the Vedic tradition.

The religious attitude of the tantriks is fundamentally the same as that of the Vedic followers. It is believed that the tantra tradition is a part of the main Vedic tree. The more vigorous aspects of Vedic religion were continued and developed in the tantras. Generally tantriks worship either Goddess Shakti or Lord Shiva.

The Meaning of "Tantra"

The word "tantra" is derived from the combination of two words "tattva" and "mantra". "Tattva" means the science of cosmic principles, while "mantra" refers to the science of mystic sound and vibrations. Tantra therefore is the application of cosmic sciences with a view to attain spiritual ascendancy. In another sense, tantra also means the scripture by which the light of knowledge is spread: Tanyate vistaryate jnanam anemna iti tantram.

Black magic is the belief of practices of magic that draws on assumed malevolent powers. This type of magic is invoked when wishing to kill, steal, injure, cause misfortune or destruction, or for personal gain without regard to harmful consequences to others. As a term, "black magic" is normally used by those that do not approve of its uses, commonly in a ritualistic setting; the argument of "magic having no colour, and it is merely the application and use by its user," backs the claim that not everything termed as "black magic" has malevolent intentions behind it, and some would consider it to have beneficial and benevolent uses. These uses could include killing diseases or pests.

Practitioners who use magic in this way argue that the effect itself is malevolent by causing death to insects (as in the above example), but as an indirect consequence of black magic, good can be a result, such as in the form of less pests around. In this school of thought, there is no separation between benevolent and malevolent magic as there is no universal morality against which magic can be measured. A rather different view on Black Magic is used in the system of Chaos Magick. In this branch of occult practice, spells sometimes correspond to colours, depending on the supposed effect (i.e, red-magick, which is magic concerned with combat, such as low-level curses). Black Magic, according to Chaos Magick, corresponds to magic that is performed around the themes of death, separation, severance and entropy. This can refer to powerful curses meant to bring the strongest effect, spells to sever emotional ties to objects or people, and so on

Underwater Pyramid In Japan

One of the greatest discoveries in the history of archaeology was made last summer, off Japan There, spread over an amazing 311 miles on the ocean floor, are the well-preserved remains of an ancient city. Or at the very least, a number of closely related sites. A structure thought to be the world's oldest building, nearly twice the age of the great pyramids of Egypt, has been discovered. The rectangular stone ziggurat under the sea off the coast of Japan could be the first evidence of a previously unknown Stone Age civilisation, say archeologists. The monument is 600ft wide and 90ft high and has been dated to at least 8000BC. The oldest pyramid in Egypt, the Step Pyramid at Saqqara, was constructed more than 5,000 years later. The structure off Yonaguni, a small island southwest of Okinawa, was first discovered 75ft underwater by scuba divers 10 years ago and locals believed it was a natural phenomenon.

Professor Masaki Kimura, a geologist at Ryukyu University in Okinawa, was the first scientist to investigate the site and has concluded that the mysterious five-layer structure was man-made. "The object has not been manufactured by nature. If that had been the case, one would expect debris from erosion to have collected around the site, but there are no rock fragments there," he said. In the waters around Okinawa and beyond to the small island of Yonaguni, divers located eight separate locations beginning in March 1995. The discovery of what appears to be a road surrounding the building was further evidence that the structure was made by humans, he added.

Bermuda Triangle Theories

Here are the top ten theories that attempt to explain the mystery behind the Bermuda Triangle.

1)Pirates Activities:-
According to this theory, the reason why so many ships disappeared is because of pirates who are especially active in this part of the Atlantic. Piracy has been the reason behind the destruction and disappearance of many a large vessel in the past, in different parts of the world. Some theorists are of the opinion that in addition to piracy, attack by enemy vessels might also be a reason. This theory might prove to be true for at least some of the disappearances in the past.

2)Magnetic Field:-
Bermuda Triangle is the Earth’s magnetic field in that particular region. It has been frequently observed that compasses begin to spin rapidly near the Bermuda Triangle and navigation equipments stop functioning properly. This is because it is one of the two places on earth where the geographic north and magnetic north coincide. Due to this, electromagnetic storms originating below the earth's surface rise up to the atmosphere and leave a fog behind. The strong magnetic effects in the region is believed to be responsible for so many people vanishing into thin air.

3)Comet:-
The first theory that we'll discuss here is the theory that a comet from outer space crashed into the earth some thousands of years ago, near the area, which is now the Bermuda Triangle. People who believe in this theory also seem to believe that somewhere in the depths of the ocean, there must lie the remains of this comet and it is the electromagnetic attractions of the comet that causes all the havoc, including disruptions of aircraft signals. No traces of a comet or anything similar to it has been found yet and in the absence of a proof,

4)Methane Gas:-
According to this theory, bubbles of methane gas rising up to the surface of water decreases its density thereby lowering the buoyant force exerted by the water. Due to this reason, large vessels might no longer be able to stay afloat and might sink without a trace. But what about the remains of the ships? They ought to be found somewhere down below, isn't it? Well, there seems to be a viable explanation for that as well! The strong currents of the Gulf Stream drifts them far away from the region. Well, even though this theory is plausible, the fact remains that there isn't any underwater source of methane gas anywhere close to the region.

5)City of Atlantis:-
What they also believe is that the mysterious city of Atlantis still lay buried somewhere below the ocean and legend has it that this city was powered by energy obtained from powerful crystals. According to this theory, the effect of the remains of these crystals is what is responsible for the aircraft radio signals going haywire. There are even supposed proofs for the same, the most important one being the Bimini Road, which is a peculiar rock structure that appears to be an ancient dockyard.

6)Time Warp:-
The 'time warp' theory claims that the reason for so many disappearances is time travel. In other words, this theory says that whenever something ends up at the Bermuda Triangle, it either travels back in time or to some time in the future. There are also people who have reported seeing a huge tunnel shaped cloud around the region, which they believe is a tunnel for time travel.

7)Human Error:-
The area surrounding the Bermuda Triangle consists of a string of islands, each very similar to the other. Because of this, it is very difficult to find your way there. Moreover, the rough weather and storms add to the risk factor. In such a scenario, once you are lost, it becomes very difficult to return back. Also, the area over the Bermuda Triangle experiences a lot of air traffic which increases the probability of disasters.

8)Extraterrestrial Activity:-
alien activity is the cause behind the disappearance of so many vessels and aircrafts. One version states that it all occurs due to aliens or living beings from other planets, abducting people, while the other version has a slightly different take on it. It says that the aircrafts and ships traveling over the region sometimes end up there at the time when aliens are supposedly traveling between our planet and theirs. These vessels are then automatically taken along to another dimension or may be, who knows, even to another planet altogether! And the poor things are unable to return back, it seems or at least that’s what the theory makes you believe. In spite of the fact that there isn’t any proof, this theory is, by far, the most popular one and has captured the imagination of one and all. More so after the release of the Steven Spielberg movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

9)U.S. Military Base:-
It is a base of the U.S. Air Force where testing of military equipments is carried out and which is notorious for many reported UFO sightings. Well, there is a similar testing base of the U.S. Navy on the Andros Islands in the Bahamas. Some people believe that there is something more to it than a mere weapon testing base and that it is the location where the government has built equipments to communicate with the extraterrestrial. And it is this supposedly advanced technology that has got something to do with the vanishing of ships and planes!

10)Rough Weather:-
The Atlantic Ocean is famous for its storms, hurricanes and rough weather. Violent storms and hurricanes cause the waves to rise as high as 80 feet or more. Add to that the strong current of the Gulf Stream and you have a situation from which it is almost impossible to escape! Even more danger lurks beneath the ocean as this is the deepest region in the Atlantic, the location of the Puerto Rico trench. So, if a ship or an aircraft gets trapped in the storm and sinks deep into the water, it can very well appear to have disappeared without a trace
